In Hanoi on January 15, 2016, Dr. Horst Sommer, Director of the Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam was awarded with MoLISA highest award, the medal for the Cause of Labour and Social Affairs of Viet Nam for his special and effective contributions to Vocational Training of Viet Nam, particularly to the development and advancement of TVET training and management staff.

This event is one of the highlights of the Vocational Training sector in Viet Nam in 2015, especially as the two countries Viet Nam and Germany celebrate its 40^th anniversary of the diplomatic relations and friendship.

In his remarks, Dr. Sommer said he will take this award not only as the acknowledgement of MoLISA on behalf of the Government of Viet Nam but also as the opening of a new chapter of the Vietnamese – German cooperation in the priority area Vocational Training which he coordinates.
