Mechatronics and Electrics/Electronics teachers improved their metal skills

The further training on “Manufacturing and Forming of sheet metal and sheet profiles by Bending” for seven teachers of LILAMA 2, An Giang and Ninh Thuan Vocational Colleges was conducted from 04 – 14/02/2020. This is the technical further training course conducted by LILAMA 2’s multipliers and organised at LILAMA 2 as the additional function of Centres of Excellence for TVET – multiplying for TVET systems.

Mr Tran Huu Phuoc, LILAMA 2’s multiplier explained: “After completing this course, the participants are able to explain sheets cutting and forming processes,  analyse mechanical drawings, use measuring devices and metal bending machines while calculate material elongations of different metals by bending processes”. As one of two trainers of training, he added: “Everybody showed high motivation and improved their knowledge and skills continuously during these two remarkable weeks”.

“Each participant had to complete his/her own project independently, namely electric cabinet and cleaning instrument” stated Mr Kieu Tan Thoi, another trainer as well as multiplier of LILAMA 2, “Learning process from basic drawings to technical drawings is a big leap and all participants obtain great results”

“The further training deepened and consolidated our knowledge and skills in applying ways of measurement throughout our training lessons. We could also gain essential competencies in teaching methodologies from the Trainers. Everyone is excited to integrate those contents into the regular training process for our students in the college as soon as possible” said Mr Dat Hung, Electrics-Electronics teacher from Ninh Thuan Vocational College.

This training course was held within the component “Support of Centres of Excellence for TVET” as part of the Vietnamese-German “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
