“LILAMA 2 IS OPENING THE DOOR TO A BRIGHT FUTURE FOR ALL OF YOU”

This is the advice from K’ Hiep, female student of Industrial Electronics K11 class of LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2) to high school pupils in the Open Day on 6th June 2020. This event attracted roughly 200 participants who are 12th grade pupils, teachers, and leaders of five high schools from Lam Ha District, Lam Dong Province together with the representatives of Lam Ha District People’s Committee, Education and Training Departments, Vocational Education Centre, Continuing Education Centre.

The Open Day offered a great opportunity for visitors from Lam Ha District to explore LILAMA 2, and its outstanding campuses, as well as to understand more about training programmes of various occupations. For high school pupils, one of the most interesting activities during this Open Day was the visiting modern facilities, talked to teachers and students at workshops as well as get a taste of LILAMA 2 students’ life. Moreover, the pupils and their teachers attended the session of career orientation with the sincere advices and instructions by the Leaders and Experts of LILAMA 2 together with representatives of partner companies.

Mr. Shigeto Morita, General Director of VINA TAK Company, mentioned “VINA TAK always gives priority to welcoming LILAMA 2 students for internship and many job opportunities at the company. Besides, the excellent interns also have the opportunity to be trained at the corporation in Japan to improve practical capacity.”

On behalf of the visitors, Mr. Dinh Duc Chi, Deputy President of Lam Ha District People Committee, appreciated the organisation of LILAMA 2 for this Open Day. He said: “We are going to strengthen the awareness-raising for parents and pupils, giving them a better understanding that vocational education and training is as a good way as university study”. He also proposed LILAMA 2 to support the communication activities to promote the vocational education and training for local people.

Mr. Frank Schulze, Integrated Expert, introduced the cooperative training model in collaboration with enterprises. Students will have experience in training with 3-layer system, including labs, professional workshops and project workshop at LILAMA 2, and in-company training phase with practical exposure in real working environment. Female pupils were encouraged to choose technical and vocational education and trainings, especially for the female students who apply for cooperative training oriented on German Standard will be supported the scholarships by GIZ.

This activity was organised within the Component “Support of Centres of Excellence for TVET” as part of the Vietnamese – German “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
