Handover of 3 practical training workshops to Northern Vocational College of Economics and Techiniques in Hai Phong

On 28 May 2020, the Vietnamese-German programme handed over three electrical engineering workshops for practical subjects to the Northern Vocational College of Economics and Technique, Hai Phong, a member or the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (VCA). Equipped with modern electronic equipment, electrical hand- and power tools. The state-of-the-art workshops offers TVET trainees a training environment based on 5S-workshop management standards to improve their practical skills.

Since the cooperation agreement in March 2016, the College is one of the twelve TVET institutes supported by the “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. Dr Nguyen Viet Cuong, Rector of the College expressed their appreciation for the programme’s supports, especially in term of equipment supports, personnel development, greening TVET and short courses for disadvantaged groups. The college looks forward to future cooperation especially with regard to promoting the involvement of the business sector in the college’s training activities.

On this occasion, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Bao, the chairman of VCA awarded Mr Claus Bader, Development Advisor from GIZ with a certificate of appreciation to recognise his valuable contributions to the development of VCA. Mr Claus Bader has  been working at the college since January 2019 to advise the teachers and managers on technical and organisational issues. In December 2019, he organised a training on “Basic electronic electronic Skills – Soft Soldering”  for teachers from technical departments.

The Northern Vocational College of Economics and Technique is supported by the Vietnamese-German “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” in developing high-quality TVET institute. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
