The training course on Gas and Arc Welding was started on 16 July 2012 at Lilama2 College under Vietnamese – German “Programme Vocational Training 2008”. The course is organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and General Department of Vocational Training (GDVT) in cooperation with Lilama2 College, which aims to provide further practical competence for teachers/instructors on WELDING techniques in order to enable them to provide better performance in training students on both practical and methodology approaches.

Participating in the course are 14 participants from partner TVET institutes of Bac Ninh, Viet Bac, Ninh Thuan, Long An, An Giang, Lilama2 and Hai Phong, and two multipliers from UTEs of Nam Dinh and Ha Tinh who were trained in the previous introductory course last year. Mr. Bernd Lehmann, a German expert from a reputated German training provider “Bildungsgesellschaft GmbH Pritzwalk” who is working as a trainer for this course will train and coach these trainees to master essential techniques of Gas and Arc welding for further training on advanced techniques.

The course will be ended on 17 Aug 2012 by a final examination of both theory and practice to assess on the training results performed by all of the trainees.
