Further training of teaching staff according to German standards at LILAMA 2 sparks the interest of the Deputy Minister of MoLISA

On 17 July, Ass. Prof. Dr. Le Quan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) visited LILAMA 2 International Technology College in Dong Nai. Together with representatives of the Propaganda Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Directorate for Vocational Education and Training (DVET) and DoLISA Dong Nai, he familiarised himself with the activities conducted by LILAMA 2 with the support of the Programme Reform of TVET in Vietnam. The deputy minister took the chance to exchange with the rector, Mr Nguyen Khanh Cuong, and the president of the college, Mr Le Quang Trung, as well as with representatives of Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) while visiting the workshops for Metal Cutting-CNC and Industrial Electronics.

“The support of the Vietnamese-German Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam is fully in line with our priorities”, Ass. Prof. Dr. Le Quan emphasised, “The focus of LILAMA 2 should be on training multipliers to offer further training for teaching staff of other TVET institutes not only in Dong Nai but nationwide, sharing the good practices on cooperation with the business sector with other TVET institutes, integrating digitalization and information technologies in training and diversifying its sources of income.”

In the following working session, Ass. Prof. Dr. Le Quan asked LILAMA 2 to share its experiences and results as an input for the progress report on Resolution 29-NQ/TW of November 04, 2013 on “Fundamental and Comprehensive Innovation in Education and Training”. Impressed with the achievements of LILAMA 2, a pioneer in the Vietnamese TVET system, the Deputy Minister and members of the delegation expressed particular interest in recommendations regarding the cooperation with the business sector, piloting of autonomy, the use of information technology, the cooperation with international actors as well as the recruitment of trainees and PR activities.
