From August to November 2019, final examinations for 80 students of the pilot cooperative training classes in Metal Cutting–CNC, Construction Mechanics, Mechatronics, and Industrial Electronics was successfully implemented. The final examinations were organised by examination committees with members of LILAMA 2 and the partner companies ISHISEI, Thuan Hai, Sang Tao and Martech Boiler.

As a result, on 12 November 2019, at LILAMA 2 International College of Technology (LILAMA 2), Mr Thomas Malcherek, Chief Executive of Handwerkskammer (HWK) Erfurt (Chamber of Skilled Crafts), a German competent authority for vocational training and examinations, has handed over the official letter of “Equivalence Confirmation” for the implementation of final examinations oriented on German standard within the cooperative training programmes.

Qualified examiners of LILAMA 2 and partner companies developed jointly written and practical examinations, organised and implemented the examinations and assessed the work results of the students oriented to German standard with HWK Erfurt expert’s supervison and consultation. The effort of these activities is also acknowledged by the certifications of HWK Erfurt for all examination committee members.

Ms Le Thi Thu Uyen, Vice Director of Martech Boiler emphasised: “The success of organising the cooperative training model in collaboration with the business sector oriented to German standard confirmed that LILAMA 2 is eligible to be a centre of excellent of vocational cooperative training and examination equivalency to German vocational system. On behalf of partner companies, I wish LILAMA 2 will be more and more developed and to be a pioneer not only in Viet Nam but also in whole region”

This activity is held within the component “Support for Centres of Excellence for TVET” as part of the Vietnamese-German “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
