The second cohort (2017 – 2020) of the Cooperative Training Programm, which included 29 students from the 2 occupations Metal Cutting and Constructions Mechanics, took part in the Final Examinations Part 2 from Oct 26 to Nov 5, 2020 at LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2).

The design, organisation and supervision of the final exams for the pilot classes at LILAMA2 had been supported by the German Chamber of Crafts (HWK Erfurt). The implementation of these exams has also been considered as equivalent to the German exam regulations.

11 students of Construction Mechanics and 18 students of Metal Cutting were assessed for their ability to consolidate the knowledge and skills obtained during their training at LILAMA 2 as well as in-company training phases at partner companies like Martech Boiler and Ishisei Vietnam. Partner companies participate not only in the development of training programmes but also in training delivery and assessment of trainees during the graduation exams. The Examination Committees include both LILAMA 2’s teachers and in-company trainers from partner companies.

The Development Advisor of the Programme Reform of TVET in Vietnam – GIZ, Mr. Andreas Fischer, highly engaged in instructing the Examination Committees and observe the examination processes from preparation, implementation to assessment/ marking to ensure the equivalence to the German exam regulations.  

This activity was held within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes” as part of the Vietnamese – German “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
