Orientation to Cooperative training programme and safety in workshops for K16 students of LILAMA 2

In the morning December 26th, 2023, K16 students of German standard oriented classes of 04 occupations: Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, Metal Cutting and Construction Mechanics participated in the orientation to Cooperative training programme and safety in workshops at the International Technology College LILAMA 2 (LILAMA 2).  

To welcome all the students, Mr Kieu Tan Thoi – Vice Dean of the Engineering Technology Faculty presented an overview about Cooperative training. He pointed out the highlights of the training programme, gave detailed information about the final examinations which will be organized with the participation of company representatives. He also shared about the broad career opportunities after graduation, as training was designed according to demands of the business sector.

Furthermore, Mr Le Tuyen Giao – Vice Dean of the Mechanics Faculty presented about safety in workshops. He stressed the importance and gave instructions on how to use personal protective equipment such as jacket, gloves, shoes, glasses and helmets. The students participated very actively and asked many safety-related questions in the session.

Ms Nguyen Thi Kim Yen, a student of Industrial Electronics K16 shared her thoughts: “After the orientation, I have gained better knowledge on the German standard oriented Cooperative training programme. Besides, our awareness about safety in workshop has also been raised and we will constantly remind ourselves about safety. I found this orientation very useful and practical.”

This activity was held within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes”, supported by the Programme “Reform of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Viet Nam”- on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Vietnamese Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET).
