Long An College aims to step by step approach the Mechatronics training programme according to German standard

With a view to improving the quality and market-orientation of technical vocational education and training (hereinafter referred to as TVET) in Long An College, Mr Claas-Uwe Himmel, Development Advisor of Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” supported by Mr Nguyen Anh Tuan, the College’s Mechatronics teacher organized an advanced PLC training for 8 teachers of Long An College during 23-28.11.2020. This is the first activity in the further training series on Mechatronics for the College’s teachers.

During the training, Mr. Himmel and Mr Tuan guided the participants to refresh their knowledge about GRAFCET. Furthermore the participants deepened their knowledge in workingwith TIA Portal V14, industrial communication networks (Profinet, Profibus and AS-Interface), control programming for IMS stations; and HMI design and programming.

Speaking at the training, Mr Le Minh Tam – Vice Rector of the College emphasized “Long An College aims to step by step approach the Mechatronics training programme according to German standards developed by the Programme. The Advanced PLC Training has contributed to developing the College’s teachers’ capacity to be able to use the training programme, thereby partly promoting the development of Mechatronics in the province.

The next training in the series is on IoT and Cloud solutions due in January 2021. The training is aimed to further enhancing the teachers’ capacity in working with  webserver applications, using IOT-Gateways and getting to know IO-Link.

Long An College is supported by the Vietnamese-German Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” in developing into a high-quality TVET institute. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
