Course participants with training expert and multipliers at Vietnamese-German Training Center, HCM UTE

In the frame of the field of activitie “Support for Centres of Excellence (CoE)” of the Vietnamese-German “Programme Reform of TVET in Vietnam” a training course on “Installation and testing of pneumatic and electro-pneumatic controls” was organized from 17^th to 27^th June 2015 for twelve teachers/instructors of LILAMA 2 Technical and Technology College (LILAMA2 TTC).

The course took place at two learning and practicing places: the theoretical part was taught in LILAMA2 TTC and the practical part was conducted in the workshops of the Vietnam-German Training Center at HCM UTE, which workshop organization and equipment makes training according to German standards feasible. The course was conducted by an experienced training expert, who was supported by two competent multipliers from LILAMA2 TTC.

Under the instructions of the training expert and the assistants of multipliers, the participants learnt to:

Analyze principle and connection functions as well as applications of pneumatic and electric components in electro-pneumatic controls
Determine the work steps required for carrying out the mounting, installation and testing of pneumatic and electro-pneumatic controls
Select pneumatic and electric components for specific applications
Mount, install, commission and test applied pneumatic and electro-pneumatic control systems with laboratory and industrial components
Measure, check and calculate electrical and pneumatic parameters
Carry out systematic trouble-shooting and repair in pneumatic and electro-pneumatic controls

During the training course they also learnt how to use standard industrial tools and devices in installing, measuring and trouble-shooting.

At the end of the training course, every participant was assessed according to criterions of German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). After this training course the teachers/instructors are asked, beside the application of the gained knowledge and skills in training of trainees, to also support the multiplication at their institute by using the provided training material (available in English/German and Vietnamese) and to further develop their competencies in the next training courses.
