From 3rd to 18th of April 2008, a training course on “Installation and testing of pneumatic, electro – pneumatic controls” was organized at mechatronic Lab[1], Hung Yen University of Technology and Education. This training course aimed improving professional qualification (especially technical knowledge and skills ac well as didactics) and developing and using teaching and learning material for the above module. Participants of this training course were 12 teachers from project partner schools[2] with instruction of international and local experts. | ||

With the above objectives, beside the technical content, participants were guided on suitable modes of implementing module including preparation of the content and teaching and learning aids, method of organization and evaluation, teaching and learning material development.
During the two last days of the training course, a test was organized for evaluating knowledge, skills and attitude which included 5 parts: multiple choice test, essay questions on pneumatic, practical examination pneumatic, essay questions on electro-pneumatic and Practical examination installation electro-pneumatic. The results were 42% excellent, 50% good, 8% passed.
Next steps:
In order to build capacity for key teachers of schools[3], participants of this training course will be invited to participate in the next course on module: Programming of mechatronic systems with PLC (planned in August 2008).
