EXAMINER TRAINING FOR FINAL EXAMINATION PART 1 OF GERMAN STANDARD-ORIENTED TRAINING PROGRAMME IN MECHATRONICS AT LONG AN COLLEGE

The examiner training on German-standard final examination for teachers and company representatives was conducted at Long An College (LAC) from September 11th to September 22nd, 2023.

The training course was structured, planned, and carried out jointly by German experts from GIZ (Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and trainers/multipliers from LILAMA 2 International College of Technology to 11 examiners from 4 colleges (An Giang Vocational College, Hue Industrial College, Long An College, Ninh Thuan Vocational College) and 4 representatives from their partner companies. The multipliers played a central and key role by guiding the participants during this training and sharing their experiences made at LILAMA 2 College.

During the two-week training course, the participants had the opportunity to gain insights on the examination process and system including guidelines for examiners, rules, and regulations on theoretical and practical examination parts as well as assignment and assessment methods. Trainers and experts provided information on organizing a final examination according to German standards, for example on setting up and organising the examination committee, preparing, conducting, and evaluating it.

Mr. Simon Parthum – Develop Advisor expressed: “This course aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of a German standard final exam. Based on that, the participants gained hands-on experience in organizing and conducting comparable exams in Vietnam which is a key step forward for the implementation of the Mechatronic training program. These exams will be organized at 4 colleges for trainees of the first pilot classes of Mechatronics Technicians in 2023.”

Mr. Le Minh Tam – Vice Rector of Long An College shared his thoughts: “The success of the Workshop is due to the very thoughtful preparation of the Viet Nam Vocational Training Innovation Program (TVET) in logistics and providing equipment for the selecting experts in the workshop and abroad with good professional qualifications. The workshop took place as planned and achieved the set goals. All products completed by teachers were assessed by experts to meet the technical requirements of mechatronics profession according to German standards.”

The training course was organised within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes” as part of the Vietnamese German “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
