Course “Project Oriented Fundamental Metal Training” marks the start of the further training programme 2018 for teaching staff of LILAMA 2

The training course “Project Oriented Fundamental Metal Training” for metal technology and mechatronics trainers is being conducted at LILAMA 2 International Technology College in Long Thanh/Dong Nai.

The two weeks training course is the kickoff event of a series of project oriented further trainings in 2018 for teaching staff of supported industrial occupations.

18 pre-qualified practice trainers for Metal Cutting-CNC, Construction Mechanics and Mechatronics develop their competence in planning, implementing and assessing of semi-complex project works. All participants will manufacture independently a mechanical “Ball Dividing Device” that can be controlled automatically or operated manually. Besides enhancing their technological competences, the training focuses also on developing, implementing and assessing practical training units by applying the four-step training method in their regular training work.

Furthermore, the course provides an insight into practice training similar to the training which is implemented in German companies to the participants. The two German trainers (Mr Ralf Hill – Integrated Expert and Mr Johannes Frey – Development Advisor) of the course convey a positive work attitude to manual work and clarify the responsibilities of the participants in their role as a trainer and mentor of regular trainees in their daily work at the college. i.e. besides the provision of technical knowledge and skills, a teaching staff needs to contribute to forming the personality traits of  the trainees that are indispensable for a successful professional career in companies, such  as mental and physical endurance, quality awareness, self-confidence, reliability, social and environmental responsibility, solidarity, punctuality, and the capacity for a critical self-assessment.

In a next, the new acquired competences of LILAMA 2 trainers will be further developed and consolidated by passing through international trainings for technical communication, testing and measuring as well as manufacturing complex project work by machine tools.

This and the following training courses are part of an comprehensive further training concept for teaching staff of LILAMA2 College. The concept aims to build up the professional competence of vocational trainers comparable to the competence of a German skilled worker in industrial occupations as Metal Cutting-CNC, Construction Mechanics, Industrial Electronics and Mechatronics .

The training is held within the field of activity “Support of Centres of Excellence (CoEs)”as part of the Vietnamese-German Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam. The programme is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
