AP1 Examination for students of Metal Cutting occupation at Vietnamese German Technical College of Ha Tinh

From June 26 to 29, 2023, AP1 Examination for Metal Cutting occupation was successfully organized for 18 students of K20 cohort at Vietnamese German Technical College of Ha Tinh (VDHT). This examination is a crucial step for students to test their knowledge and skills obtained and prepare for the upcoming AP2 Examination. The implementation of the exam has also been considered as equivalent to the German exam regulations.

18 students of Metal Cutting occupation were assessed for their ability to consolidate the knowledge and skills obtained during the training at VDHT as well as in-company training phases at partner companies like Duc Tai Industrial Mechanical Joint Stock Company Ang Duong Mechanical and Industrial Joint Stock Company. Partner companies participate not only in the development of training programmes but also in training delivery and assessment of trainees during the AP1 Examination. The examination committees include both VDHT’s teachers and in-company trainers from partner companies. All 18 students passed the exam with positive results: 22.2% of good level, 66.7% of average level, only 11.1% of below average level.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong – Director of Duc Tai Industrial Mechanical Joint Stock Company – a member of the examination committees, assessed “The college has prepared optimal backup plans to ensure the best conditions for the students in the process of performing the theory as well as practical exam. Through the process of monitoring the students’ performance, the students basically met the content of the Disseminated Training Programme from Germany for Metal Cutting occupation. In general, the students’ exam papers are from “Average” to “Good”.

This activity was held within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes” as part of the Vietnamese – German “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
