TVET

92% of people with disabilities have not received vocational training

The information was shared at the forum “Employment potential of people with disabilities in the field of smart manufacturing – In TVET and in industry,” organised by Lilama 2 International Technology College, Programme ‘Reform of TVET in Vietnam’ (GIZ), and partners. The forum focused on raising awareness of how people with disabilities can overcome barriers to explore and optimise their potential.

The field of smart manufacturing is rapidly evolving, with the integration of advanced technologies such as CNC/CAD/CAM programming, IoT, artificial intelligence, and robotics. Providing vocational training for people with disabilities is crucial to enable them to work in this industry. However, the current labor market has not yet created suitable conditions for them to access vocational education programs and work environments at businesses.
