Multiplying AP1 final examination training in Ninh Thuan Vocational College

Under the framework of the Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”, the training “Coach NTVC to develop final examination part 1 for Mechatronics technician trainees and conduct a multiplication training for other NTVC staff” was conducted in Ninh Thuan Vocational College (NTVC) for 12 Mechatronics teachers by NTVC multipliers with the support and supervision of Mr. Mirco Rudolph – Development Advisor from July 17 to 22, 2023.

In this training, the participants learned several practical skills, including:

1, enhancing their installation skills on mechatronics systems

2, learning how to describe the structure and principles of operating mechatronics systems using pneumatic elements, and inverters to control electric motors

3, practicing analysing, and drawing step-diagrams, circuit diagrams (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic) of mechatronics systems

4, determining and systematically planning solutions to carry out installations, maintenance, and repairs of mechatronics systems.

The completed AP1 working station was the final result of participants when applying all knowledge and skills they got during the training.

Besides achieving the goals of the aforementioned tasks, participants also could practice on the real working stations used for the final examination. Therefore, they could understand more about how to conduct the examination and what students will have to do.

“This training will provide valuable information for NTVC teachers about complex electro-pneumatic systems and examination conducts. But it does not only provide helpful knowledge and skills for the examiners directly involved in the final examination, it also helps teachers involved in the teaching of this occupation” said Mirco Rudolph at the beginning of the training.

Mr. Tran Van Linh – One of the multipliers of the training expressed “All participants are very productive during the training, and they learn a lot of practical skills on Mechatronics installation”.

With the skills gained through this training, NTVC teachers are now well prepared to conduct the final examination part 1 and teach the content required for the students to perform successfully in this examination.

The activity was conducted within the component “Supporting High-Quality TVET Institutes” as part of the Vietnamese – German Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
