“We hope to see every single teacher can disseminate the knowledge and skills at their TVET institutes”
From 02 to 07 December 2019, the first multiplying training course “Innovative Teaching and Learning for Industrial Changes in the context of Industry 4.0 (Module 1)” was conducted by two trainers, Mr. Phan Hong Phuong (LILAMA 2) and Mr. Vuong Dao Nhan (Vietnam-Korea Vocational College) at LILAMA 2 International Technology College in Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province.
This is the first of five training modules which were developed by the Regional Cooperation Programme for TVET in ASEAN (RECOTVET) aiming to strengthen the capacity and improve the competency of TVET practitioners to cope with the industrial 4.0 changes through innovative teaching and learning, quality assurance as well as quality development.
The Module 1 was organised for 12 teachers from TVET institutes from difference areas such as Dong Nai, Ha Noi, Bac Ninh, Ninh Thuan, Da Nang, Long An and An Giang. The participants had a chance to improve their expertise through innovative technical and didactical principles in the Industry 4.0 and Digitalisation development. The knowledge will be then adopted into curricula and training plans with flexible adaptation in TVET institutes.
Mr. Phan Hong Phuong, a certified trainer who is in the mission of delivering his own in-service training modules at LILAMA 2 stated: “Our vision is to see every single teacher can disseminate the knowledge and skills at their TVET institutes”. He added: “All TVET teachers had an opportunity to get access to competencies in 03 Learn and Work Assignments (LWAs), including 1) New paradigm: The changes of Management- and Work Processes and Consequences of the Workforce due to Industry 4.0; 2) CPS I4.0 system, Optimization of Automation and Consequences for the Workforce and Security; and 3) Planning of Teaching Lessons and Use of Multifunctional Didactical Approaches for In-depth Understanding of Digital-based/ Modern Industry. These three LWAs can support all participants in developing the training programmes to be suitable with their TVET institutes”.
“During the training, I do appreciate dedicated efforts of trainers to share valuable knowledge and skills with us. I also looking forward to attending Modules 2 and 3”, happily shared by Mr. Le Thanh Phuong from Long An Vocational College.
Ms. Le Thi Hong Phuong from Hanoi Industrial College expressed: “I am so glad and satisfied to take on teaching methods. We have a good chance to access the best methodologies in the development of Industry 4.0. The two trainers were very agile and proactive to share ideas and support us during this remarkable week”.
The training is held as the additional functions of “Support of Centres of Excellence (CoEs)”, a part of the Vietnamese-German “Programme Reform of TVET in Viet Nam”. The programme is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) together with the Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
On 17 July 2020, Dong Nai Department of Labour - Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA) organised a Conference on "Implementation of training high-quality human resources in Dong Nai province in 2020, contributing to providing human resources for Long Thanh International Airport (Long Thanh Airport)" at LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2)
With a view to developing capacity for the in-company trainers in order to ensure the quality and efficiency of the cooperative training model between vocational education and training institutes (TVET institutes) and their partner enterprises, the Programme “Reform of TVET in Viet Nam” organized the Pilot Training Workshop on “Basic Pedagogical Skills for In-company Trainers” during 14-17 July 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City.
