  • The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) is a centre of excellence for vocational research and for the progressive development of vocational education and training (VET) in Germany. A cooperation with the National Institute for Vocational Training (NIVT) under the General Directorate for Vocational Training (GDVT) has been established to develop further the compentencies of NIVT staff

  • and other training providers, consultancies and international TVET experts.


  • Vietnam Vocational and Training Association (VVTA) is a social and professional organization, which is established on the voluntary basis of Vietnamese legal identities and individuals working in vocational and training field. VVTA is an important partner to cooperate in implementing activities to enhance the image of Vietnamese vocational training and partnership between TVET institutions and business sector.

  • Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is a national organization which assembles and represents business community, employers and business associations of all economic sectors in Vietnam. The purpose of VCCI is to protect and assist business enterprises, to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country and to promote economic, commercial and technological co-operations between Vietnam and the rest of the world.

International partners/projects in the TVET sector in Vietnam:

  • Regional cooperation programme to improve the training of TVET personnel in ASEAN countries (RECOTVET) is a regional GIZ programme which aims at improving the materials and staff requirements for demand-oriented training of specialists and managers of vocational training.

  • Effective In-Company Vocational Training Mekong Region is a regional GIZ programme with the mandate to stimulate the cooperation between vocational schools and companies.

  • Regional Co-operation Platform on Vocational Education and Teacher Training in Asia (RCP) was established with support of GTZ for joint research and mutual consultation on TVET teacher training in Asia.

  • Asian Development Bank (ADB) is an international development finance institution having worked in the area of TVET in Vietnam for many years. ADB is implementing the "Skills Enhancement Project".

  • International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (UNESCO-UNEVOC) assists the 193 UNESCO member states in strengthening and upgrading their TVET systems.

  • Groupe Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD) is a bi-lateral development finance institution.

  • The International Labour Organization (ILO) is implementing a Labour Market Project on behalf of the European Union.
