One of the main sectors with growth and employment potential in Vietnam is the field of Electrotechnics/ Electronics. Therefore, the improvement of technical and vocational education and training in the related jobs/occupations in the field of Electrotechnics/ Electronics is an important part of our programme activities. The capacity building of teaching/training staff in terms of technical and didactical/pedagogical further training will serve the actual and anticipated demands of industries for labour market-oriented training in Vietnam.

The programme component Promotion of TVET is cooperating with international experts in conducting further training for teachers/instructors and developing training materials in the field of Electrotechnics/ Electronics. Based on an assessment of competencies of teachers/instructors a further training programme was developed:

• Electrical Training Foundations (already implemented) (Document , Photos) 
• Electrical Installation
• Motor Control & 3 Phase Power Distribution

It is planned, that from now until May, 2010; Promotion of TVET will continue to compile teaching materials and organize two remaining training courses. The teachers, who have the chance to participate in these training courses, will then instruct other teachers at their colleges.
