First course in Electrotechnics

From 3 to 7 August 2009, at Nam Dinh University of Technology and Education, Promotion of TVET Vietnam organized the first further training course in the field of Electrotechnics-Electronics for teachers/instructors from project vocational training institutions. Through the training, the vocational teachers/instructors’ required knowledge and skills for conducting practice-oriented training for trainees in the field of electrotechnics/electronics are improved. Examples of such skills includes processing metal/non-metal materials used in the field of electrotechnics/electronics, bending cables and cable terminals, checking connections according to technical documents and making soft soldering connections.
In addition, under the instructions of the international consultant, they learnt to use standard industrial tools in processing, methods to prepare for and to organize practical training of high quality at their own colleges. When finishing the training, the participants will be given materials for their training in both English and Vietnamese.

Further steps:
To develop a group of core teachers/instructors as multipliers for further trainings for partner vocational training institutions (1), participants of this training workshop will join next training courses on “ Electric Installation according to Industrial Standards” (to be expectedly organized in October 2009) and “ Motor control and 3 Phase Power Distribution” ( to be implemented in early 2010).
