The project “Promotion of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Viet Nam” in cooperation with the European Association for Vocational and Social Education (EBG) and project partner schools are carrying out a further training program on CNC for partner schools during 2008. The EBG located in Magdeburg (Germany) is the private partner of TVET project in the framework of the agreement of a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) between GTZ, EBG and selected partner schools.

From March 31 to April 4, 2008 at Hung Yen UTE a one-week assessment of the skills of teachers/instructors from seven vocational schools was organized. The assessment has achieved its objective of selecting teaching staff capable of attending the further training programs on CNC technology during the year 2008. Those selected and trained teachers will multiply the gained knowledge and skills in CNC technologies at that model schools throughout Viet Nam participating in the financial and technical cooperation project.

Further steps in the field of CNC technologies, including

• development of labor market oriented training modules for vocational training and further training of teacher/instructor,
• technical training for teachers/instructors,
• didactical and pedagogical further training for teachers and workshop instructors,
• identification and adaptation of teaching and learning materials

will be implemented until the end of the year in three main sessions (May, June, July of 2008), under direct implementation of EBG experts in close cooperation with the technical cooperation project
