In cooperation with the European Association for Vocational and Social Education (EBG), project "Promotion of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Viet Nam" has organized a study-tour to Germany during the last two weeks of February 2008. EBG is the private partner of TVET project in the framework of the agreement of a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP). |
Within this partnership EBG and TVET project will jointly conduct a further training program for teachers and instructors in the field of CNC technology. The overall goal of the partnership is to provide companies in the sector of metal production with sufficient qualified workers in the field of CNC technology.
The heads of the 4 selected partner schools were participants of the study tour. During the study tour, the participants analyzed the approaches and implementation how German companies apply modern technologies and equipments and got an insight into the relationships between vocational schools and enterprises in Germany. The German vocational schools and enterprises cooperate among others in providing labor market oriented trainings for trainees in general and especially in the mastering of modern technologies. In addition, the study group observed new high-tech approaches of development of teaching and learning aids, namely simulations for CNC and using of "virtual reality" approaches. By means of this visual observation, the study group has learnt many practical and effective lessons for further implementation of project activities as well as for the practical training for their trainees and the German strong requirements for teachers/trainees to be educated and trained in real world of work approach.
