“Should I pursue university career path or choose technical vocational education and training instead?” “What occupation and school should I choose to match my interest, ability, and to ensure job opportunities after graduation?” These were some of the common questions raised by participating high school students and their parents during the discussions on the Open Day which took place on April 22, 2018, at the LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2) in Long Thanh, Dong Nai province. The Open Day attracted more than 1,200 participants including students, their parents and the management boards from high schools in Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Lam Dong provinces, LILAMA 2 alumni and current trainees as well as human resource managers from enterprises.
LILAMA 2 Open Day –Your career option in TVET
This upcoming Sunday, April 22 2018, LILAMA 2 International Technology College (LILAMA 2) in Long Thanh, Dong Nai Province invites interested students, their parents and companies to join their second Open Day in 2018.
With more than 10 interactive booths for information exchange and career consultation, the event will be a useful and practical experience for students as well as their parents helping them to get an idea of the benefits of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as interesting and valuable career option. In addition, the image of TVET among the community will be promoted and companies can get in touch with teaching and management staff of LILAMA 2 to discuss potentials for cooperation.
In the school year of 2018 – 2019, LILAMA 2 will recruit around 2,000 trainees for 13 occupational fields: Industrial Electricity; Electrical Installation and Control Technology in Industry; Industrial Electronics; Mechatronics; Mechanical Equipment Manufacturing; Metal Cutting (CNC); Welding; Optical Transmission and Radio Transmission; Radio and Television stations Installation; Mechanical Equipment Installation; Piping Installation; Assembly; Computer Repair and Business Accounting.
